The fossil discover in the cairn belongs to the eneolithic age. 
The doctors in the Renaissance period mastered the science of trephination.
Oxygen is an affordance given by the environment to living beings in exchange of carbon dioxide.

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
