THE HOPEWAY

The story is a meditation on the evanescence of all things.  The coronation merely confirms and sacralizes his inheritance.  I'm not sure whether this was courage or pigheadedness.  His use of inkhorn terminology in his essay did not impress his professor.  Egged on by his top aides, he was determined to win. 

They are convicted on forensic evidence alone.  She is strangely devoted to her solid and doltish husband.  They tried to browbeat her but she stood firm.  He runs the shop in tandem with his brother.  They live in abject misery. 

He started issuing peremptory instructions.  The broken glass lacerated his feet.  The film featured a madcap car chase that went right through a crowded cafe.  She is given to taking a nap in the afternoon.  I get no messages from my joints - the natural process called proprioception - telling me what they are doing. 

He was good company, with a mordant sense of humour and a strong sense of duty.  Unfortunately, his brain was starved of oxygen and he was left brain damaged, with spastic paraplegia.  His insouciance and could-not-care-less attitude is becoming intolerable.  The law proscribes driving a car while intoxicated.  Various scratches and cuts line her arms and face; a pus-filled abscess burns on her right arm.
