Anomie

The postmodern period felt a certain sort of anomie. 
A rush of electric feelings swept over my body. 
The intense emotion led to denudation of mind. 
The adventure was totally an implosion.
Capitalist ideology is regnant since the eighteenth century.

With the concierge's aid, the man had been murdered.  The corrupt politicians are engaged in senseless recrimination.  They try to use her innocence as a leverage to gain sexual favour.

Enervation

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
