Her impassive behaviour has triggered anger in me. 
She feels malaise at my demands in bed. 
Her maudlin responses always win over me. 
The Bollywood industry feeds on the mawkish weaknesses of the audience. 
The nurse has applied a poultice upon the lesion on my arm.

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
