His poem is mostly filled with catalectic lines. 
The restaurant offered gourmet coffee and cigars after the meal. 
How can you come up with such brilliant ideas? 
The captain's huge hand, swinging back, overset the bottle. 
He had a reputation for being laconic.

With the concierge's aid, the man had been murdered.  The corrupt politicians are engaged in senseless recrimination.  They try to use her innocence as a leverage to gain sexual favour.

Enervation

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
