Sinecure

Because he was the brother of the CEO, he was offered a sinecure in the company. 
He resigned in the face of trenchant criticism of his policies. 
Of course, causality runs both ways; countries in trouble are more likely to get into debt crisis. 
They enjoyed the languor brought on by a hot summer afternoon. 
But if the words are cited as the proof, it would be a clear petitio principii, though there had been nothing else against it.
