Untrammeled

I was an atheist, untrammeled by all the old superstitions. 
Don't waste your time trying to change his mind; he is completely intransigent. 
I wish he could do his job as well as he schmoozes with the boss. 
Your relatives may tergiversate in the holiday gatherings when uncomfortable topics come up. 
The temperature is high and it would be incommodious.

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
