A fierce melee is going on among some sleazy, intractable, languid labourers.
In a doss-house some elfish lotharios were chugging a tawdry liquor. 
The rapacious leader is using a loudhailer to wheedle the outraged crowd. 
The sleazy doxy was caterwauling as her customer was taking a reprisal because of her previous prick tease. 
They were committing sodomy with the doxy in a languid manner.

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
