Ebony

Her ebony body is as graceful as a deer. 
The couch was upholstered with a bright, floral fabric. 
There was a hint of smug self-satisfaction in her voice. 
The creaky old house and its odd inhabitants have not given up all their secrets. 
She was no more a crackpot than the rest of us.

Enervation

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
