Chancy

Career is not an ineffable chancy matter to me.
I try to shirk acts of bravura.
She is a provocateur because she intentionally incites my anger by her tart barbs. 
She couldn't remain congenial anymore in front of my barrage. 
Inflected by her other messmates, she is becoming slick.

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
