Tendentious

That tendentious teacher was talking flapdoodle. 
Madam always urges me to remain level-headed even when I'm restive. 
I behave in the most congenial manner possible with everyone, but some scamps respond with hostility. 
People are not isomorphic, but still they try to gel with each other. 
There is a whole spectrum of concatenation of ups and downs in our life for good.

James Thomson in "The Castle of Indolence" portrays a setting where the dwellers confront moral enervation due to their indulgence in luxury.   The woman is of tawny complexion.  Looking at Alec's murdered body, the landlady had goose flesh.  We bristle at the prospect of another interview.  She was wearing a beige skirt.
